As part of their duties, Health Departments will inspect a facility that handles and serves food to the public on a regular basis. Most inspections are routine or regularly-scheduled. Other types of inspections that Health Departments conduct may include re-inspections, pre-opening inspections, or inspections triggered by a customer complaint.
